Melanie Esther Baker currently serves in a volunteer counseling role at All Saints Recovery, where she brings a compassionate, faith-informed approach to supporting individuals as they navigate emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and holds a master’s degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Melanie believes meaningful relationships are at the heart of effective counseling and seeks to create a safe, encouraging space where individuals feel seen, valued, and supported.
Prior to moving to the United States, Melanie worked with a palliative care organization in India, supporting individuals and families facing terminal illnesses, including HIV/AIDS and cancer. Her work also included teaching, ministry, and lay counseling with adolescents, families, and individuals from underserved and marginalized communities. These experiences strengthened her passion for holistic care and for serving those who may have limited access to mental health and supportive resources.
Melanie has also served as Counseling Coordinator at R&R Ministries, where she established and developed a counseling program focused on making emotional and mental health support more accessible. Her experience includes individual counseling and emotional wellness groups focused on emotional awareness, healthy expression, self-regulation, relationships, and practical coping skills.
Melanie works with teens, young adults, and adults and has a particular interest in anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Her Christian faith provides the foundation for her counseling philosophy and informs her integrative approach to emotional, relational, and spiritual wellness. At the heart of her work is a belief in the power of encouragement—walking alongside others with compassion and hope as they recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and move toward healing and greater well-being.
